It's been a tragic day

Today has been a completely stressful day!

I am sure by now that alot of people have heard about the serious car accident that claimed the lives of 2 young girls, ages 10 and 11, just outside of Lindsay last night around dinner time.

Involved in the accident- my BFF, neighbour (sister) and her girls The young girls that passed away were like my daughters as well as their older sister. Their mother is like my sister,

I got the call when I was 5 mins from hom e after work. I immediately ran in the house balling my eyes out and told my bf what happened. We got ready to go and left for Sunnybrook!
I have yet to sleep and my eating is quite f'ed up today.

Cassie, the oldest daughter to survive, has come out of surgery for her foot and pelvic area. Kari, is in the ICU awaiting surgery which will happen tomorrow morning. She has a broken jaw (in 3 places), collar bone, hip, pelvic area is shattered, knee, foot and sternum, also her spleen is lacerated. She is aware of what is going on and that her 2 youngest daughters are gone. Her hubby was away and got in this morning at 730.

I am trying to be strong but have broke down quite a few times today, very very sad situation.

I think I will be going hom e tonight and I will come back first thing in the morning. I really need a good night's rest if I am going to be here for her, her hubby and surviving daughter.

The investigation is still happening but they are pretty sure they know what happened. They don't remember what happened- good thing.


I'm not sure how to end this today....

God, Leanne...I'm so very sorry. If only our children could be sheltered from harm. I'm sorry for your loss and wish for your bff and her husband and surviving daughter, infinite strength.

I saw that on the 6 o'clock news. What a sad situation. Hugs to you and your neighbors. Try to be strong for them.

I hope tomorrow will be kinder to you and your friends.  Remember to be kind to yourself and take care of your needs as well as the needs of your friend and her family.  You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

 I'm so sorry.  I did hear about this on the news and it hit close to home as my own daughters are 10 and 11.  I'm praying for strength for your friend, her family and for you as you go through this unimaginable situation.  Gail

Sooo Sorry for your loss and for your friends loss.  The accient happened fairly close to where we live, and the hwy was closed for some time.  Please know that so many of us from this area have said a prayer for this family that we don't even know.  May you find the strength to get through this and to help your friend get through this. You are all in my prayers

I'm so sorry Leanne!! I'm actually from Woodville and I was there last night visiting with family when we heard about the accident..its such a tragedy!
