If you're looking for a good blender...there is great sale on at Canadian Tire right now.
I just picked up a $100 digital 18 speed *Oster* blender on sale for HALF PRICE...and this thing is awesome... it devours ice cubes...and everything else that gets in a way!!! Can't beat that for $49.00
Sorry if this is boring,...but I get unusually excited when I but new kitchen appliances...
it is one of the many reasons that I do not shop alone...
Ofcourse....I get 10x more excited buying shoes...but who doesn't? LOL

My small one is 3.5 cups I believe and it's Kitchen Aid. I love it, perfect little size for small jobs.
ETA: It only comes with the chopping blade whereas my big one has the slicer and shredder and the chopping blade. Just depends what you are using it for as to what attachments you may need.
