I can't imagine how dissappointing that must be. Totally unnerving. I hope your new date is soon and goes off without a hitch this time.

Gosh! That is terrible! How do they handle that in regards to your Optifast? Do you just start eating again? Will they pay for the second amount of Optifast?

Oh no. I'm so sorry that is a huge let down. I can only imagine how disappointed and frustrated you must be. I will keep my fingers crossed that you get rescheduled quickly. Big hugs.

You just caught a really tough break....I am sorry for you...

Hang in there....unfortunately this sometimes happens.....someone is supposed to be released and then the Dr decides to keep them an extra night....or emergencies come in...

So gear yourself up for your new surgery date.....probably will be quite soon....and hang in there ok?

I feel so bad ...and I also know how you feel ...same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago was to have my surgery Nov. 18...ended up having it Nov. 23. Hang in there it will happen. Hugs Joyce

I don't know what I would have done if that happened to me. I feel so bad for you. Hopefully you'll be rescheduled very soon.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora. Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

They said optifast is for shrinking your liver and since I already did it I can go back to eating light food until 2 days before surgery and I don't need to take the vitamin k again so I guess it's just waiting 3 weeks can't hurt I suppose

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. I really am. That completely and totally sucks.

I know that there is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better about this cancellation, but sometimes it helps me when I remind myself that everything happens for a reason --- and more often than not, we are oblivious to the reasons at the time.

I sincerely hope that they reschedule you promptly...
