Hello everyone,
I just wanted to give a short update.  I am glad to be home after my time in Hamilton but I certainly felt well looked after while I was there.  The staff and Dr. Gmora were awesome and really knew their stuff.  They answered every question I had and really took good care of me.  I was supremely grateful.

Things have been going well since the surgery.  I had no brusiing at all and was in very little, if any, pain.  I'm not sure if that is everyone's experience or not, but that's how it went for me.  The follow up appointment went well and I was happy to be able to head home.

I weighed myself yesterday for the first time since before the surgery.  I had lost 16 lbs on opti and now seem to have lost another 5, for a rough total of 21 lbs since November 14.  I would try to show that on my tracker but I can't seem to figure it out, lol.

Getting in all my fluids and proteins so hopefully I will be able to move to full liquids on Wednesday.

I just feel really grateful for all the advice and support that floats around on here.  Because of this I had absolutely no anxiety regarding the surgery and Dr. Gmora only further reinforced that for me.  He was wonderful!

Well, I hope everyone has a great week and keep the info and support coming!
So glad to be on the bench!!
Nancy

I'm glad things are going well for you. Dr. Gmora is pretty awesome, isn't he? Going home is so nice. You have your own bed, no nurses waking you up to check vitals. Home is just better.
Happy healing.

I didn't even realize you had gone for surgery!  Congratulations.  Dr. Gmora is nothing short of amazing.  I, too, had no bruising, and only some discomfort, but no real pain.  I can't praise this man enough - caring individual far beyond any expectations I ever had.  So glad you're home and doing well.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
