Hello All,

Tomorrow I will be 2 weeks post op and am planning to get on my elliptical machine.

I feel great and have been walking outside three times a day since I got home. I bet I am walking 3 km each day.

I plan to use legs only and keep m time to 20 minutes of low impact.

Any thought?

Hi!  I was a little further along when I started eliptical, but I do like it.  My best advice is to start light and let your body tell you when it's done, you may not be able to do a full 20 first time out.  You are still healing, and can wear out sooner than you expect.

I agree with Cathy. Listen to your body. If you experience pain or excessive discomfort, or excessive fatigue, slow down. Make sure someone is with you, for that first time. My first time around the block, i made my hubby come with me.

I was told no exercising for 1 month post op.
but walking was fine. The eliptical is a little more intense than just walking, go slow my friend.
