VERY OT- but creative minds needed
So....we are adopting a cat. He is an orange tabby, very fluffy, and very cute. He is 10 months old. Alothough I loooove kittens, my kids are still young (4 &6), and we are away from the house a good part of the day, so we wanted a young cat, but one that was a little more settled than a kitten.
Currently, his name is "Lockie", pronounced "low-key", but the girls aren't too fond of that and would like to pick another name for him. Any good suggestions for kitty names? I'd like something unique and if possible, related to the fact that he is orange in colour. My neighbour's cat is named "Teapot", and I totally love how unique it is! Can you offer any suggestions??

Hey Marny! That's great you and your family are thinking of adopting a cat. When you first said you were thinking of something around the fact the cat was orange, the first thought that popped into my head was Pekoe! I had some tea earlier LOL
Some other interesting orange related names would be (thanks to some Googling LOL):
Satsuma or Valencia (which are types of oranges)
Copper or Rusty or Sienna or Macaroni (or KD) or Pumkin (in relation to the colour)
For a male cat, I like Pekoe and Macaroni.... just suggestions and please note that I am very bad at giving names to things (like I had three or more teddies named Christina when I was growing up bad)... so no offense taken if you think these are all awful LOL!
Post a picture when you get him and name him!

I dont have any suggestions other than to say if his name is Lockie, CHANGE IT!!
Loki is the God of chaos and aka the trickster. Hardly the kind of thing you want in your house, especially in the form of a cat!!
Orange tabbies remind me of red haired Scotsmen...yum....wearing kilts....yum...drinking Moniack Mead (YUM!!) from Moniack castle....or Jamie Fraser (YUMMMMM!!! and if anyone knows who that is, I bet you just swooned).
