Well, today is like New Years Eve for me.  I am all packed and ready for tomorrow in Hamilton.  Have to be at hospital by 6am and surgery is scheduled for 8am with Dr. Anvari.  Not sure how well they are at keeping to their schedule but all my other appointments were right on so I hope I am on time.

Not sure if I am more excited about the wls or getting my hernia fixed.  It's been a long 5 years I have been living with pain in my chest from the hernia and I can't wait to have that gone.  The WLS is just a bonus in my eyes.

I so can't wait to go back to Sudbury, my home town, and show everyone the newer me, this summer.  I say "newer" me as I have a long way to go but by summer I will be looking so much better.  They only let down to this whole thing is if I can't golf by spring.  They told me maybe.

I can feel everyones support behind me.  I'm sure you will not let me fall and for that I am thankful.

They are fixing the hernia and if all goes well continue with the RNY.  I hope it does go well because they said I would have to wait several months for the second.

Thanks for the support.  All the best on your journey.

Good luck, Patrick.  You're in the hands of an innovator in non-invasive surgery - you're very lucky.  We'll all be waiting to hear from you.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

YAY Patrick.  Your time has come.  All the best tomorrow.  I also had an 8 a.m. surgery and was also asked to arrive at 6 a.m.  They call you to come and change into a hospital gown with a second gown like a housecoat.  Then you get into bed (the one they will wheel you into surgery area.  The nurse does a whole bunch of stuff, including providing you with pills, blood pressure, temperature, etc.  The nurse also put on the compression stockings.  By 7:30 they were wheeling me down to the hallway outside the surgical suite.  The anaesthetist came into the hallway to talk with me.  Not long after the nurse came and got me.  I walked into the operating room with my sexy compression stockings on.  They started the i.v., the surgeon came and spoke to me....time moved very quickly and then zip I was in the recovery room.
