Surgery went smoothly on Tuesday.  Had no nausea or vomiting after thanks to 4 different anti-nausea meds. No gas pains.  Incisions are nice and clean.  A little sore and tender on the right side.  Just started passing some gas today. And the best part is I've still got 7 more weeks off work !!

I forgot to mention.  I took leave with no pay.  In the fed. govt.  they average out the pay loss over a one year period.  You still get a cheque over the 9 weeks, but your overall salary is reduced for the year.

Glad to hear it is going well. You will be amazed how fast you start to feel better! Everyday you'll notice a huge difference. Just be careful not to overdo it to early, sometimes it is easy to forget we just had our insides mixed around. I never thought I would say it, but I miss work and I still got another week off to go. I must be sick!
