THANK GOD I POSTED THIS THREAD!

I walked away thinking I was doing a GOOD thing by getting a tasty protein shake. At home I make my protein shakes with fruit, skim milk and whey protein so I thought this was just a tastier more convenient way of doing it. I see now how wrong I was. I'm really mad at myself for making such a horrible food choice! I was doing so good too! I went shopping with friends and sat at a table with them while they had poutines, hot dogs and chinese food. I sat there with my water bottle, content and happy. Little did I know I was about to make an equally poor choice! :(

You live and learn.  No beating yourself up ---- just move on.   As good strategy is to familiarize yourself with places you go and their nutritional info.   This should be done for sugars and fats as you could dump with some products.

Next time ask at the counter for nutritional info if you can before eating ir drinking something you are
Not familiar with.  Otherwise don't trust anyone :-) typically high calories fat and sugars =. Tasty.  And let's just say the fast food industry does not have our best intentions at heart :-) lol

Have a good day

Don't ask at the counter. That's so annoying. Go inline and figure it out yourself

don't just concentrate on protein, you need to be looking at carbs and sugars and sugar alcohol content as well....and from my experience if you find a product that doesn't have that informaiton available..I wouldn't touch it~!

ditch these fast~!!!

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
