I was looking at what other treatments there are for gallstones. I don't know if they do the sonic waves to break up the stones here or no. I imagine that is only done at certain centres. Then there are all kind of treatments like cleanses etc. There's this one where you drink like a cup of oil and grapefruit juice. OMG, I don't think I could do that. Drink oil?? I'm really jumping the gun because I don't know for sure if that's what it is but it sounds like a good possibility. I don't know that anything shows up in blood work right away. Later on there might be some change in the liver function and when it is really bad there is visible jaundice possibly but my husband had his gallbladder out a few years ago, it was practically one big stone at that point and there were no indications other than what showed up on the ultrasound. His pain was more like the chest pain that is more usual for gallbladder attacks.
