ColdFX Question & What did you do on your first Post-op Birthday?
I feel like I am starting to get a cold or something....I got sniffles and a bit of a rundown feeling... I used to take ColdFX at the first sign of that under-the-weather feeling. I'd say 90% of the time it helped me. Fortunately, I didn't need to take it very often as I am generally a healthy person - immune system wise.
Just thought I would put it out there, and ask any vets if ColdFX is ok to take?
It's my birthday on friday and I really really really don't want to get sick....
And since I'm onto the birthday topic, Question: What did you do on your first post-op birthday? I'm still in the soft food stage and going out to a restaurant (like we traditionally used to do) seems out of the question for me right now...
So in an attempt to get used to life that doesn't totally revolve around food on special occaisions, anyone have any ideas to share????

Surgery JAN. 19th, 2012 - Down 120 lbs & 75 inches @ my last Weigh in!!!!
Im planning my sister's birthday for the 11th of March and I'm ordering Greek. It's something safe that I can eat and everyone else enjoys it as well.
My own birthday is in April and that'll be my 1st one post op. I have no idea what I'll be doing. We usually have lunch at my house. We'll probably do the same thing. There are some holidays/special occassions that still revolve around food for me and that's okay - it's up to me to make good decisions on those days.
As for Cold FX. No idea. I never took it pre-op and thankfully I havent had a cold post-op.

I'm 3 months out and had my birthday last week. My family loves Tuckers Market Place, so I told them if I'm going to go to a buffet it might as well be on my birthday as its free and doesn't matter how little I eat. I had a piece of roast beef, a small amout of mashed potatoe and some butternut squash. For my desert I had a couple of there home made nachoes with some salsa. Had a wonderful time and didn't feel bad about what I ate at all.
For my first post-op birthday, we went out to the casino! I ate fish and a wee bit of caeser salad. mmmmm!
As for cold meds, I generally take the same things I did before surgery. I have taken day/nightquil, benedryl, neo citron.
I don't have a problem with dumping. I just had my second cold since surgery.
