Did anyone get the licence plate off the truck that hit me?

OMG.... I feel like a big bag of poop!!!!  Today is the first time in a LONG time that I have felt so completely wiped... totally exhausted. Yesterday I was full of energy, and today I feel like I wa**** by a truck...

I forced myself to go out & get a little exercise...we walked around our little community for about an hour and I was totally wiped... usually I find that exercise actually boosts my energy levels...but not today.

I should also mention that i have been having a few dizzy spells...when I bend over... I have to grab the wall and wait for it to pass... Um, is that a blood pressure thing? I have been eating at regular intervals, but for the first time in a while...it's more of a chore than anything...like I'm *only* eating because I know my body needs fuel...

Otherwise I feel fine... no weird BM's, no upset tummy, no flu or cold like symptoms at all....

Could this just be my body going through some sort of catch-up or adjustment?

Maybe its a simple as my body needs some rest....?

first week back at work, right? it might just your body reminding you to rest.

Could also be your BP. Stop in at shoppers drug mart and check it out. Or if there's a nurse where you work, or an old person you know with an electric bp cuff, check it out.

hope so too, i didnt ask, but i'm assuming you're getting enough water?

also, you could be coming down with something. If there's a virus going around at work, you might be more vulnerable, because you've been away, and you're somewhat compromised, just because of your recent surgery and change in nutrition.

I definitely have not drank enough water yet today... I have to be honest. Only about 4-5 cups...but I'm still sipping!

No one seems to be sick at work yet, but I will definitely keep that in mind...being more susceptible right now... that makes a lot of sense.

You might be coming down with something that hasn't quite hit you in the usual ways yet.  I've had a nasty bout of sinusitis and its been making me dizzy.  Drink your fluids and try to rest as much as possible.  It's been a strange winter for bugs - no deep freezes to kill the little critters off.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

You make a very good point Megan! I've not yet been sick since WLS, and this sure has been a strange winter...

The bending over thing is orthostatic hypotension. Very common after gbs.  In fact, when hubby went for his 2 week follow up they checked him right away for that.  Just go sloooooooowwwww. Even now, it gets to him a bit.  We were moving bricks and after a while, he started to get dizzy getting up and down to stack the bricks.  It's blood pressure.

Be sure to keep hydrated too!

Thanks Dawn!  I appreciate the info... and knowing that it is common does help me to relax about it. I will be sure to go slower! No more tazmanian devil spins off the sofa... lol
