Mercy me....I actually did it!!

I just arrived home from a 21km run!!! It took me 2 hours and 25 minutes and 22 seconds- a little slower than I was hoping for, but actually, I'm just amazed that I actually survived.  My GPS watch calculated that I should have burned (this is funny), a whopping 1452 calories!  That is probably everything I ate today and half of what I ate yesterday!  Ha!   That explains the rather explosive urge I felt to eat everything inside my pantry when I got home!

Kind of wondering now if I should call that my half marathon (since 21k is the actual distance in a half marathon), and just skip the Mississauga Half Marathon in May.  Right now my body is screaming "NEVER AGAIN, YOU CRAZY WOMAN!!!", and every movement feels like a hundred times more effort than normal.  I think I will well tonight.  Hopefully I can move in the morning!  :)

Congratulations, that is quite a feat and don't apologize for that time. That's the same time it takes me to do seven miles, only half that distance, and I'm worn out when I'm finished. I can only hope for your stamina.

Bravo!

That is amazing, you must feel so proud. I hope you are okay in the morning, not too stiff.

Thanks guys.  If I actually had enuogh energy left, I would do a happy dance.  I am soooooo proud of myself.  I started out running 3 min/ walking one minute, and remember my first 5k race.  It felt wonderful.  Somehow I just kept builing on that and now here I am.  My how times have changed!!
