Allergy Meds
Yes you can take Allergy Meds but be aware that extended release ones may not be the best choice after surgery. Things tend to leave our systems quicker now so the 24 hour allergy meds may not stay in your system for 24 hours. You may be better off with a formula that has a shorter duration that you will have to take more often.

Hi Brenda,
I have seasonal alergies all year round. Go figure. Right after surgery I switched from the regular Clariten to the fast disolving ones because I was so paroanoid about swallowing pills. But now I am ok with the regular pills.
Mention it to the anesthesiologist when you see him. Mine said it was good to take on the morning of my surgery as it helped with something but I forget what. Probably my breathing but ask.
