Three Month Follow Up in Hamilton
So glad to hear from you, Patrick, and happy to hear that you're doing so well. Can you believe three months have passed by already?! It seems like only yesterday that we were doing our laps around the nursing station. I have my three month follow up on Monday. I'm low in Vit D so am on a mega dose. Hopefully everything else will remain where it's supposed to be.
Way to go on the long bike ride. I have yet to take mine out this season. It should be interesting with less of my tummy in the way of my legs.
My D was awesome before surgery (100), but has dropped to 75 already supplementing about 25,000IU/day so I'm bumping it to 50,000IU hoping to get back over 80 (the minimum level required for optimum calcium absorption). My family doc is very supportive of my desire to reach optimal vitamin levels rather than be 'just above' the bottom of the "normal range" and has an excellent understanding of the relationship between D and calcium. Normally most docs wouldn't consider it necessary to add extra supplementation with a level of 75, but most docs are not too concerned about anything other than 'out of range' values.
Hopefully this info is helpful for you!
