Thanks Karen!

It is hard for me to turn out the lights because the kitchen and living room is very open concept and very easy for me to go into the kitchen.

You are probably correct in that 1100 calories is not a lot...I expect when i go for my 6 month check-up they will tell me to increase my calories.

I have been really struggling with this, and I know that if I don't handle it, I WILL start regaining. Yesterday I was at the grocery store and I purposefully bought a tub of fat free sour cream and a box of onion soup mix. I combined them and left them overnight. Tonight if I get snacky and I can't distract myself, then my plan is to have some celery or a few carrots with the dip which is perfectly harmless. The beauty of raw veggies are that they are crunchy (nom nom nom!), and they fill up my pouch very, very quickly, so I know I won't go overboard. Plus, if you like onion dip, this simple "recipe" is to die for!!

I do the veggies with dip snack at night thing too but i mix the dip powder with fat free greek yogurt so its loaded with more protein than sour cream.

Hi Marny,

Thanks for the tip.  I actually went out and bought the FF sour cream and onion soup mix.  I never had it before, (because i would always have to buy the "hellva a dip" in my old life) and dipped some carrots tonigth and felt satisfied......And it was very good!!

Great!  I too am going to try the plain greek yogurt idea.  It never even ocurred to me.  :)  Sometimes I buy the carrots that are cut like little crinkle chips, and if I try REALLY hard, I can imagine I am eating Ruffles and onion dip.

Oy...sounds like me when I am dieting.

It doesn't really matter if it's head or tummy hunger, that little devil will kick your ass,,,

So make a deal with him...have one "naughty night" (gawd, I am that old that a naughty night has NOTHING to do with lingerie or blindfolds) where you can enjoy a little bit extra that isn't going to send you dumping (like what you ate),

Once in a while that gnawing hunger needs a little fix and then it will go away. As log as you recognise what it is and salute it, don't guilt about it, you will have control. Additionally, giving your metabolism a little jump start with some extra calories once in a while is not a bad thing, even better if it is a regularily planned event.

Whoa, whoa, whoa there, sista!  This sounds like a slippery slope suggestion to me.  "Binge" - UGH.  Something I NEVER hope to do again and something it took me several years to overcome.
