I am pre op but trying to make changes.  The last week has been hellish (first period in about 4 months - yeah perimenopause).  More or less I have eaten everything in my house.  Why?  Because I wanted chips.  But I have not eaten them for over two months and I did not want to give in.  If I had given in I would have just eaten them and been happy.  But then I would feel like a failure for giving in - so I ate everything else.  Now this was fruit, yogurt, veggies, meat, salad  etc....nothing really bad except for the amount.

What finally stopped it in the last day or so has been milk with unflavoured protein powder, lots of water and a chunk of feta cheese and dill pickles at midnight last night.

Today....I am fine.

Damn chips.

Hi there

It happens to the best of us LOL
I think 800 calories is kind of low for 6 months out. I think you should probably be able to have 1,000 to 1.200

Eating at night is the worst, I guess it's a matter of keeping busy .............

Night time snacking is a tough one for me too. Now..I turn off the TV and go upstairs. It's really too much of an effort to keep going downstairs to the kitchen to eat! LOL!

And I agree...1100 calories isnt that bad. At 6m. out I was aiming for 1000 calories.
