I do understand, having not had surgery yet, there have been people in my life who have been just as thoughtless. My sister in law, who tries to be relatable to everyone, often says stuff like "I so need to lose some weight" or "I just feel so fat" ... She's a size 7. It's difficult to not blurt out right then and there, "Well if you think your fat, then how do you see me?"

Cling to the comments of your coworkers. Those are the ones that are meant to encourage and keep you strong. You are doing amazing and I look forward to being able to look back and see how far I've come as well.

Thoughtless words can hurt more those around us. I wish everyone would think before they speak but there truly are some "fat" heads out there that will never get it.

I'm glad that your co-workers were able to show you by their words that you have accomplished what you set out to do. Enjoy your success and try to let the negative energy bounce off the new and healthier you that you've created.

Had the same thing said many times about my daughter and myself. I have never cme up with a nice thing to say, all I can think is "We can loose the weight but you'll always be stupid"! I know, nt nice, but its what comes to mind. You're not alone!
