What are you eating/doing today? (Wednesday)
Gooooood morning :)
I'm taking the next 3 days off on vacation on a whim. Yay! Thought I'd be off on surgical leave, but since that isn't happening, I'm just taking .... time off. lol My plastic consult yesterday was excellent. I am thoroughly impressed with the surgeon. Apparently the skin on/below my panni is permanently damaged due to skin and tissue breakdown and needs to be removed. Now just waiting for OHIP approval, which he feels will be no issue whatsoever. I'm relieved.
Anyway, here's today's plan:
Doing: absolutely nothing. :)
B - coffee with milk x 2, protein shake
S - 2 oz swiss, 1 oz ham, dill pickles
L - tuna with onion and mayo, pepper slices, tomato slices, 4 melba rounds
S - not sure yet
D - chicken stirfry
Have a fabulous day!!

What a great plan - sounds like something I'd like to do, too Karen!
I'm pleased for you that the Panni skin can be removed completely - that'll make the whole experience more worthwhile. Wendy loves that plastic surgeon as well, says he's great.
And the hysterrectomy has definite advantages, too - let me tell you, I never regretted having mine.
Enjoy your time off! You deserve it!
B - muesli w fresh strawberries and banana, large coffee
S - cottage cheese (1%) w fresh raspberries
L - Afghan lamb kebab and salad
S - apple and tea
D- homemade butter chicken and rice
Holding at 130 lbs, 15 months post-op

Thanks Gaby-Gab. xo
I've been emailing back and forth with Wendy - I'm so excited for her for her surgery on Friday. Keep me posted on how she's doing, okay?

Glad your consult went so well. Hope everything works out. I have been taking a break from exercise due to injuries but need to keep moving somehow. In the past I have given up when the pain got bad but I am determined not to this time. I at least went for a walk last night to keep moving. My husband who is fairy fit asked me to stop because he was having trouble keeping up. In the past it was the other way around.

b - coffee x 2 and extendabar and a few strawberries at this morning's meeting
s - triscuits and laughing cow light cheese
l- chicken breast and veggies
s - unsure
d - NOT PLANNED!! Yikes But some sort of protein and veggies...as usual lol
Last night I made onions, red peppers and sausages in a red wine, olive oil and garlic sauce. YUM!!!
(The major point of that sentence is that "I" made it LOL....i'm not a cook at all, I burn things!)
Spinning today, hoping that the Extendabar keeps my sugars regulated.Left after 40 minutes at Monday's class, and left after 1/2 an hour of weights yesterday. Both times I felt the low coming, and I registered at 3.2. oops! Wiould have been worse, if I stayed. It's very hard on my brain to leave a class and not feel like a failure, let me tell you that!!

Karen, it's good you can take the time off to regroup. Glad the plastics consult went well. I will be looking into that after I get to where I really want to be.

Ooooh, sloppy joe meat..... yum! Thank you for the installation of a craving! lol
Liz, I had no intention of getting any plastics done to be honest. I don't like surgery, am fearful of it, and quite frankly dread it. This is purely out of necessity for my health. My hysterectomy surgery was cancelled on the 7th (while I was on the table and already had the relaxing happy juice I might add lol) due to the terrible state of my pannus and the huge risk of infection. It's weird, I've never really had too much of a problem since surgery but the past year has been a challenge in keeping that area clear. And it scares me. Soooo.... off to plastics I go! lol
Glad to see you posting these days, I hope you're doing great. :)
