I understand that plastics is scary, it scares me too, but might be necessary for me too.

As to doing great, see what I just posted. Not so good.

I'm glad to see you're speaking with a counsellor. You're going through a lot right now with the move and everything else. Hang in there.

Okie Dokie - busy day running - isn't that what Mom's do?  I thought once they moved away to school that was pretty much over - but I forgot they come home for the summer and have jobs!
Did Aquafit this morning, daughter to Dr appt, son to work, me to work for the afternoon, daughter to work, then "Walk and Talk" at the track with my friends, pick up daughter at work, pick up both sons at work, then home.  (BTW - we live 30 minutes from no where - so it is at least 30 minutes to each of these activities! )

3 months post op and down over 60 lbs!

B: Swiss Oatmeal (WLS cookbk for dummies)
S: Protein Bar
L: 1/2 cup Grilled chicken pecan salad (WLS cookbk for dummies)
S: 1 cup grapes
D: 1/2 cup Grilled chicken pecan salad ( will be on the road so it is easy to take in my lunch kit)
S: Babybel light cheese

OK so that is about all the time I have - good thing I love driving my Charger!

Take care everyone - PS - Special Hugs to Greg Cross - should be coming out of surgery any minute from Dr. Hong @ St. Joe's

B - 6 oz milk with my MVI & am meds.
eBiked to Work
L - 1 slice of cheese & 3 orange quarters & 1 tbsp quinoa & 1 tbsp legumes
D - cheese from top of a cheese pizza -- vomited
D2 - potato chips -- stayed down
S - I will probably have milk and Kashi Crunch (high protein) before bed.

The only foods that are not applesauce, milk, yogurt, SF pudding and oatmeal that reliably stay down are
- popcorn
- potato chips
- french fries

I didn't really have surgery to be eating those foods !

I imagined myself with lean meats and soft vegetables.

@kellybelly - why not have a SF applesauce before exercise class?
@Karen - congrats on the good consult.

I would need a protein before the applesauce for sure. Just having a carb might spike my sugars and then do a quick spiral down, which is not so good. Trying to figure out what to eat and when is what is tricky. If I eat too close to working out, I feel sick, but if I don't then I get the lows. I'm wondering if I should try a protein shake (ugh...haven't had those in a year....I eat my protein) instead.

The thing is, no day is alike with the sugar issue. And that is bugging the crap out of me! Yesterday the Extendabar was great. And I worked out very hard in spinning, and felt great after. Those pieces of cardboard did help. I won't get the 9 hours of regulated sugar levels, like it advertizes on the package, but it did the job for my workout.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
