I am so sorry to hear what you have been going through. Your expertise on this site has been greatly appreciated and your journey inspirational. I really hope your revision goes well and you can begin a quick and full recovery. We are all rooting for you.
Keep us posted if you can.
Thinking of you,
Andrea.
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
I've been having pain issues for the past year and finally had an endoscopy to see if it was an ulcer (it's not.)
So I marched my ass up to Dr. Hongs office (I volunteer at St. Joe's) and had a lovely chat with him (he is the sweetest man!) and he is going to take me on as a patient to try and figure out what's wrong with me. My surgeon in the US is there for me but it's just easier for me to deal with someone in person that can order tests in hospital rather than dealing my my surgeon over the phone and then having my GP order tests.

If there is any justice in life (and I believe there is), this will work out well for you as a small repayment for all the extraordinary support and kindness you have provided to others dealing with WLS.
Thank you for pointing out again that we each must take responsibility for our own health, that time does not heal everything, and that vigilance needs to be a watch-word on the top of everyone's vocabulary lists.
May your little green bean florish in its new environment!
