So glad you are home Karen and didn't need surgery although surgery might have been easier than getting the NG tube inserted.

How does a NG tube unkink things or were you not kinked just full of sh** that wasn't moving .  lol. I don't understand whether it is just getting liquids into you or what worked to unobstruct you.  Sorry if this is TMI but just trying to understand what you went through.

Take it easy and enjoy your pasta and Wonder bread. I can't imagine eating those things but you got to do what is required.  Maybe white rice?

The NG tube suctions all of the "crap" aka swap juice out of your abdominal cavity as well as any excess air.  The intestine then has room to move and correct itself.  I know this is TMI, but it was quite fascinating to "throw up" with nothing coming out, other than into the tube. LOL  Gross, I know.
