Hi Linda

Thanks for posting this....and I am so glad you are home with answers and feeling better...

I get the funniest thing when I sneeze hard and dont hold my lower abdominals....I can actually feel my bowel spasm and push against my hand....its so weird

I am really trying to work on fitness....as I just figure with 4 abdominal surgeries I am a very good candidate for issues.....and I want to be in good shape if something happens.....its good to hear others experiences and know what to watch out for

Hope your thanksgiving is good Linda

I'm going to see the Surgeon next week Monday. My origninal appointment was for the end of November but my Emerg visit gets me in a little sooner.

I'm glad they found the problem. I'm going for a Cat scan tomorrow. I had pain a few months ago, none now, but i'm still going regardless.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Definitely go!  You never know if or when the pain may come back.  I keep having "attacks" every couple of months and the waiting for specialist appointments and tests take so long that by the time I get in I'm asymptomatic and they don't "see" anything wrong.  I've been to the ER 3 times and all they do is give me painkillers and send me home.

I finally got so pissed that I marched my ass up to Dr. Hongs office and asked if he'd take me on as a patient (my surgeon is in the US.)  Well, I can't say enough good things about him.  What a lovely man he is!

I waited 3 months for an initital appointment with a Gastro doc for my endoscopy and I have a 3 week wait to see Dr. Hong.   :)

This was my third Emerg visit since the end of June for abdominal pain . I have had other attacks in between but just toughed it out at home because I couldn't stand the thought of sitting in the ER waiting room for hours and hours. The three I went in for were definitely the most severe.
