Got a call from dr.hagens office at 4 have to change my date for surgery because they booked too many for the 14 so now my surgery is tues this freaking tues i just started opti not even going to have a full week is that even safe..they said he reviewed mt file and it was okay but still scared so much to do now and i have my.patts tomorrow omg soooo freaking now

Wow!  Freaking out is a completely acceptable reaction, I would too!

Here are the advantages: if the surgeon thinks your liver is okay for surgery, then I'm sure it is.  AND, you have less time to be on Optifast, and less time to obsess about surgery and freak yourself out about it.  Worrying about surgery for fewer days won't affect the outcome of the surgery, but it will definitely give you peace of mind sooner...

You'll be great!  I'm going on Wednesday, so we'll compare notes afterwards. :)

Well as long as your surgeon says it is safe... then better to get a call to go earlier than to get a call that they delayed your surgery!  Good luck!

Lucky you!  You're a lightweight, you won't have any problem!  Many people never had Optifast at all years ago and didn't have a problem.  I had it for 8 days, he said my liver was great.  Be thankful, seriously!

Congrats in on the same day surgery twin lol. What hospital I'm at st joes Toronto surgery is at 12:30

 Orientation: July 23 2012       Dr Sullivan : August 16, 2012 Dietician, SW, RN, Sept 26, 2012    Dr Sullivan Oct 17, 2012 and pick up Optifast   PATTS: October 24, 2012         Surgery: November 6, 2012. Starting weight 277 surgery weight 268

If surgeon is OK with 1 week on opti then don't sweat it.
