I am not going to complain to my MP, I'll just whine about it, cry about it, but in the end I'll wait, I always do. And living in an apartment does not allow me to "remortgage" a home unless it's yours? LoL. Thanks for the support everyone. Hopefully the new year brings me better luck.

Too bad about not being able to remortgage...I live in a condo and remortgaged with my bank.,..Extended  mortgage at blended rate, and since these days mortgages are really low, it was feasible for me over an extra 6 years extended payment........

What reason have they given you for waiting 4 years? I went through Guelph and I waited about 2 years.

That's just it there is no reason. I know part of the delay was my family doctor, but that accounts for about 4 months. *shrugs*

Phoenyx,

I havent had the courage to call and find out through guelph BUT i do know for a fact that the gentlemen in our post op class is seeing the surgeon on January 10th. It boils me over that some people seem to jump a few hoops and others have to wait what feels like an eternity. I was so hopeful that we would be getting a call sooner than later. Heres to waiting and waiting UGH!

Do you think the delay for some has to do with medical reasons? For example, I don't smoke; I don't drink alcohol; I had some comoridities; I am in my 40's so not too old to withstand surgery; my bmi was 44 so I wasn't too heavy for surgery.

Hey I was just wondering if you guys have asked about being referred to another bariatric clinic.  I know a couple of the people I talked to were referred to Humber River where the wait time is much better. I was referred in June and had surgery Dec 12th.  Some of the people I was with were from owen sound
