Bugger!! Ottawa 1/2 marathon is full. Anyone know someone selling their bib

I was lazy and didn't register early :(  Now it is all full.  I have my room booked at a B&B, and was soooo looking forward to going in May.  Anyone happen to know someone who would like to sell their race bib?  I'd be willing to pay the same cost.  Not looking for a discount, just a spot. 

Anyone who has run this before--- did it fill up really fast this yea or is it just me??

Marny can you contact the organizers of the event and tell them you have lost nearly 160 pounds and were really looking forward to this race?  You could ask them if they have a waiting list or could squeeze in one more person.  Email them about how important it is to you.

My friend had success getting into a full race this way.

there is a group from Petawawa going, I can ask around if anyone is looking to change. I registered for the 10k....trying to get ready for the Army Run in September :)

Thanks.  I appreciate it!  I've never looked at the Army Run.  Sounds interesting.  I was thinking of trying out the Warrior Dash which I think is probably similar. :D

Thanks for the suggestion.  I hadn't thought of looking on a FB group.  I posted on my own wall, hoping to get the word out, but I'll definitely check out the group.

Keep your fingers cross. There is always someone who ends up selling there bib because something comes up or they are hurt.  It is a matter of getting word out. It helps if you know of a group that has signed up because they can keep an ear open. I hope you find someone. I know how hard you have been working at this. I can talk to my trainer she may know of some people who might hear something. No promise. Next year come and do around the Bay. You can do it.

Ottawa race weekend fills up SUPER fast every year....but so does the Army Run so if you are looking to get into the half there, you might want to keep an eye on it. Registration isn't open yet (or at least it wasn't the other day when I looked).

I am doing the 10km in May and going for the half at the Army Run.

I'm also hoping to do the 5km Zombie Run For Your Lives in Toronto in September and last year it was the same weekend as the army run!!
