Kingston Question
For all of you going thru the Kingston centre, I just have a question about appointment scheduling.
I have had my orientation on Feb 13. I got a letter in the mail today for my next appointment with the NP on March 13.
My question is this, from reading peoples timelines it looks as though most people see the Social Worker and the Dietitian the next day or a couple of days later. Will these appointments be set when I see the NP or do they come in the mail as well?
Just thinking of my work schedule etc.
And is there any point calling and offering to take any cancellations to see the NP? I can be there very short notice almost anytime and day.

Hi, my SW and dietician appointments were a week after seeing the nurse. They booked them for me on the spot after I saw the nurse. I also had my ultrasound on the same day. So i ended up taking the whole day off from work.

The NP booked my appointments with SM & NUT as well as bloodwork, ultrasound and h-plori testing all on the day that I met with her. If you check out my timeline you'll see that things started moving once my file went to Kingston. I was delayed a few months because of a blood sugar issue and having to start on insulin, but once that issue was resolved I'm moving to surgery rather quickly. As for calling for cancellations, it never hurts to give it a whirl!! All the best

There is no harm in calling and asking. It may be that the NP gives the first go ahead before the others are booked. I would call and get them scheduled as soon as possible. Sometimes getting them done all on the same day means a delay. I know one of the dietitians will be going off on maternity leave this summer.
