I used a bit of diet gingerale mixed with water and then stirred the heck out of it to get the bubbles out early out. I know what you mean by it sometimes helps when you feel sick. Try a little bit (like a sip or two and wait) and just see what happens.

Another option would be be an herbal ginger tea.

Feel better soon.

thanks! i tried it and wow, it helped :) half water, lots of crushed ice. defiantly did the trick. didnt hurt, and i was never a pop drinker anyways, so old habits concerning pop dont really apply to me.

All sodas, diet or regular, are loaded with sodium. The next time you need some ginger help, I'd go with a ginger tea instead. At least give it a try. Soda, whether the bubbles are there or not, is really bad for you.

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Just a warning...pop is really bad for you. I am not trying to be a smart ass but this was a lifestyle change/choice...try tea peppermint is a good one...

I speak from experience, tries less than a 1/3 of a cup about 6 months out...put me on the floor of the bathroom for 3 hours in the most terrible pain and I felt like crap for 2 days. I am now over 3 years out and have not touched the stuff since.

Our nutritionist told us that it's not the carbonation thats the problem (initially, yes - in the infancy stage of the pouch)... but, it's the other crap in soda pop that is the killer!  Lots of sugar and chemicals that have proven to be addictive and promote weight gain.

Why chance it?

The main issue with carbonation is the potential for pain early out, but if you can drink it without any problems, go for it. If drinking regular, I'd half it with water, or else drink diet and put it over lots of ice to flatten it. Getting fluids any way you can is key to feeling better!
