Gallbladder attack :(
So 11 days ago I went to the hospital because i was in severe pain in the upper right side of my abdomen. I was given morphine and the pain disappeared and the doctor couldnt figure out what was wrong with me. Well last night I had the pain again, and after waiting 5hours inthe Sault Ste Marie emergency department I was finally given morphine to ease my pain and was told that they suspected it was a gallbladder attack. I had an ultra sound done as well as an ecg xrays and blood work and they confirmed I have gallstones :( the dr I saw today said that I probably wont need to have my gallbladder taken out just yet. I had an rny with Dr. Starr 4 months ago and Im just wondering if I should call him and tell him about this or if I should just wait for my 6 month post op appointment in july?
Ugh, that sucks. :( So sorry to hear it!
If it was me, I'd likely call. The worst case scenario is that he says "We'll talk about it in July", right? Can't hurt!

that really sucks! I've been in your shoes, I started having attacks this past July and after 13 attacks, several visits to emerg and a prescription for endocet to control the pain I FINALLY had my gallbladder removed in January. I have my RNY surgery coming up in a week and a half and I gotta say I'm glad I got that problem taken care of sooner rather than later. I would definitely give your center a call. As was previously mentioned the worst that can happen is they say wait until the 6 month, but if you keep having attacks definitely push for a resolution, that pain is no fun at all!
