How long were you off work after surgery?

I have desk job and only 60% coverage for STD so I took 8 days off, worked a week at home and then went back. I didn't have any issues or complications. My surgeon wrote the initial note for four weeks. I could have taken it all but could not afford to lose that much pay.

I'm not up for mine until dec, but Hagen Gave me a note for 6 weeks, and I fully intent to ask for another 2 weeks when I go for my check up at the end. I have a " desk job" that is manic at times. High stress environment and clients. I want to make sure I am as completely sure of my new lifestyle before I go back. I plan on doing trial runs while I'm home the last two weeks. Packing lunches at night and snacks for the day. Setting my alarm to get up, do treadmill, shower, eat breakfast, get ready for work. Eat what I packed and have an alarm on my phone to tell me when to eat. I'm blessed with STD plan that pays for my sick time 100% for 130 day max. So I am going to use what I need. One time to get this right
