Advice for post bowel surgery
I seemed to be on the mend since my surgery last week to do some adhesion repair and untangle omentum that wrapped itself around my colon.
Since then I have had one tiny BM. I am eating toast and crackers mostly, which is less than what I ate at the hospital. Two nights ago I started feeling nauseous and extremely tired. Since then I've been sleeping, eating toast, soup and crackers, and trying not to be sick. I feel pregnant lol....but much more tired (I could actually function pregnant).
Anyhow, it will be a week Thursday since my surgery, bowel is not back to normal and neither am I. Anyone else out there who has gone through this?

Oh my gosh Kelly, I have been off line for a bit and did not know you had surgery. I hope everything is okay. I would check with you surgeons office to make sure that one BM is normal!!

I am having way too many carbs for my liking for sure, but I can't seem to get much else in. I get in about one protein shake a day, by sipping all day long. No fever, just nausea and tiredness. I called the surgeon yesterday and left a message, and proceeded to call the rest of the day. I might go to my own doctor, but to be honest I have no idea if she'll be able to hel*****t.

Oh Kelly, I am so sorry to hear this news! I don't have an answer and can't offer any advise but I do hope you feel better.

Thanks Barb. I called and left a message yesterday, and proceeded to call all day long, machine only. It doesn't seem like an emergency, just doesn't feel "right"
