I am a year post-op and have been finding that I am getting a lot more cavities and even teeth breaking. Anyone else have these issues? Is this a known problem for post-ops

Wow.. I just did a search on "teeth health" on OH, and yes...there are issues with bariatric surgery & long term oral health, check it out.

I couldn't have told you if it was a known problem, but I know that if I don't get enough calcium, that I have teeth problems.  Including sensitivity and I've noticed my teeth a little more translucent than normal.  I'm hoping that once my calcium is back up I'll have less problems.  I do know it helps with the sensitivity issues.

Like others said, calcium is key.

No problems here at 7 years out but I have seen lots of people having issues. Remember, calcium carbonate is not your friend.
