Does anyone know if blood donations are ok years after VSG surgery?  I understand that post RnY - not so much, I assume because of the malabsorption factor.  But is it the same for us? Also is blood donation harder to recover from as you age with VSG?<

So being 3+ years from WLS I have been giving this question alot of thought and am curious what you estimate after 1-2-3-5+ years what % success can be attributed to the surgery and % that can be attrbuted to your own personal grit and work.

Just curious, I don't presently have low iron, did just after surgery though.  I understand that the RnY often results in low iron issues down the road and have read that VSG can also result in the same low, but I don't read any posts in this regard on
