Question regarding Optifast

I was just wondering if you are obligated to buy the Optifast from the surgeon. My cousin has some left over that doesn't expire until October 2014 and she has offered it to me for free. Just thought it would save me money as   the funds are tight.

This is providing I get approved and get a date before that time :-)

They don't care where you get it from as long as you have it.  You may want to bring a pouch with you to show them that you have the proper one since they use Optifast 900 in Ontario and Optifast 800 is available on ebay.

Great Tracey thank you for responding. I am pretty sure hers is the 900, she had her procedure in Ottawa.

It is two boxes for one weeks worth isn't it? I think she had 1 and a half left.

Yep you need 28 pouches for 1 week and it used to come 14 to a box.  I haven't seen any centres force people to buy from them if they do already have it.

Thank you so much!! Every bit I can save helps. We don't have any coverage right now so I have to pay for the Prevacid and shots myself. (Can't remember the actual name right now and my books are in the room where hubby is sleeping, good ole night shift :-(
