Wonderfull news. You're almost there! Can I ask you how long you waited after your diet/beh appt. for your pre-surgical class? It could give me an idea of how long I have to wait before my call. Thanks!

Julie, I did all me pre-surgery "stuff" in Kingston at the Hotel Dieu Hospital Bariatric Clinic so I am not too sure how helpful my timelines will be in comparison to Ottawa. However, I had to see the Dietitian on June 11th/2013, Sept 6th/2013 and saw the Social Worker May 24th, 2013, June 21st/2013, and July 31st/2013. I did my pre-surgical class on Dec 2nd, 2013 and met the Surgeon on Dec 3rd/2013 and my surgery is scheduled for March 20th, 2014. I had mulitiple visits with social work as I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder and they want to be very sure you are ready for this surgery. I hope this is somewhat helpful, just keep in mind you may be much speedier than me because they may do things differently in Ottawa and also I have a diagnosis they were concerned about.
