It is a reality that we almost always outlive out pets. But that does not make it any easier to lose them. Always remember that Mac and Ben had lives filled with love and care. That is the most wonderful thing that could have happened to them.

I am so sorry for your loss. 17 is a pretty grand age to reach. What a lucky dog to have someone adopt him when he was older and give him a well loved life in his twilight years.
