ok so imout searching for vitamins and stuff...and i cam accross Calcium..soft chewable CHOCOLAT!!!!SO GOOD! it is by Jamieson Mega cal! Guys it is so good!!!!!! $11.00 at Wal-mart... 60 chews! yum yum! kate

Sounds delicious Kate, but what kind of calcium is it? Calcium carbonate or calcium citrate? From what I've read, citrate is the one to look for as it is best absorbed by those who've had WLS. Cheers Wendy

Jamieson Mega Cal is Calcium Carbonate. I use both the Citrate and the Carbonate. I prefer the chocolate chews, so I use them Monday to Friday, when I am at work. At home, I use the chewable 600 mg Calcium Citrate. I found the Calciium Citrate at Walmart in New York. Don't know if they have it in Walmart in Ontario, as I bought a few bottles to last a while. Your labs will tell you if your body is not getting enough calcium from the Mega Cal chews. You are doing great in your progress and I enjoy your updates.
