nanny-nanny boo-boo! I get to see JW on Friday and Saturday!
(Golden is a suburb of Denver) I'll be in Estes Park acting crazy with a few hundred Red Hats Friday and Saturday.

First, check to see if their chapter is full. If they are, start one of your own...it only takes 2 people to start a chapter. I started ours with 7 and within a year we'd exploded to 39 members! Now we're trying to encourage them to split off into smaller more manageable groups. This is the headache I caused by not having a membership limit in mind. Quite honestly, I never thought that many deaf and hard of hearing women would be interested! Now we have a waiting list! The Red Hat camp/convention this weekend is full of hearing women; they got an interpreter for the 4 of us, which is lovely. We're so looking forward to mixing with other Red Hat groups. Anyway, moral of the story....start your own group if nobody returns your call. You're terrific...if they don't want you, you certainly don't want to join their group...you're better than that. Right?

I'm wondering if there is any way that Pam and I can meet both you and Rusty at the same time..... but here's the kicker. I have NO clue where I'm going. Pam is already there. Someone is picking me up at the airport and taking me to the conference. I don't know the name of the hotel where Pam is staying and I'm staying with her. I'll have to call her when I get to the conference. I have NO idea where the conference is...... this is a blind date. Truly. I just know that I need to be at the airport on standby for a 6 a.m. flight in the morning (no clothes are packed) and call someone before I board the plane and leave a message as to which plane I'm on.
Now, with that being said............
Maybe there is a chance to meet.... Pam leaves at midnight on Saturday.... I have friends kidnapping me and getting me to the airport on Sunday..... and this conference is supposed to go until mid-late afternoon on Saturday..... the folks that are getting me out there are wanting some time.....
I'm just confoozed..... and hope there is a way to make a connection.
