I'm Back
Hi All,
I haven't posted for almost a month now. Things have been very busy for me and I just got back to work and found a few minutes to get back on-line. A lot of things have happened to me in the last month.
On August 13th, I had RNY Lap done in Utica NY. I was scheduled for surgery at 4 pm, but got a call around noon asking if I could come in right away, that the first operation for my DR was cancelled and they could do me right away. Since I wasn't having much fun without food or drinks, I immediately left for the hospital (5 minutes from the hotel I was staying at) and was in surgery by 1:30. Everything we great and I was released from the hospital the next day at noon. I couldn't go home to Canada until 2 days later. My sisters came with me and they had a wonderful time while I was sleeping! When I got home, I found my internet provider couldn't provide service in the area that I live (I just moved a couple of months ago to this location). That's why I haven't been on-line.
I have to admit that I feel great since having the surgery. Anyone considering it should be encouraged by my experience. No complications and I feel better than I have in years. I've lost 23 lbs in 3 weeks and hope that this continues!
I've missed reading the posts on this site and I need to get back into reading them. This group is a great source of comfort and information! I'm sure that I'll be asking you for your help over the next months, as I progress through the various stages of post-op.

Congratulations, you are well on your way to a "new you".
Glad everything went well for you and I wish you continued smooth sailing.
I know how frustrating computers can be...I was without a server for over 24 hours.
Take care and watch the pounds melt!

Welcome back Maggie! Congrats on your weight loss and successful surgery...I'm looking forward to hear your WOW moments! Paulette
Hi Maggie
I am so glad that everything went well for you.
(Maybe there is hope for me yet!! I am still waiting to hear from OHIP
)
It's nice to hear of someone who has been free of a lot of the pain, etc that others have experienced after surgery for any of the wls. Take care of yourself, and I hope to join you sometime soon on the losers' bench.

Just remember your new mantra, sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk and you'll be just fine.
Blessings and hugs, hoping for the best
