I have some Sad News,
I went to get my stitches removed and the Pathology report. things arent good. It came back inconclusive so She sent the Thyroid up to Gaionsvile to the pathologist up there. In the meantime she called me back and when she went to see the Pathologist this afternoon and went over the thyroid again they found a 1.5 cm area of cancer in the lower right lobe.
So I have cancer.
I see the oncologist on Monday to see what my options are.
I dont think Ill be working for a while.

Carla,
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am a cancer survivor. I'll give you a few unsolicited tips. Have yourself a really good cry alone by yourself where you can kick and be mad. Then have a good cry with your loved ones. Then get about the business of doing what you need to do to kick this thing in the a$$. Don't go research your cancer on-line because the information varies web site to web site and it will scare you to death. Get referrals from doctors you trust. When you've got a doctor you trust then follow their instructions.
I've been in remission for seven years now. Modern medicine is a wonderful thing now-a-days so have hope.
We are all pulling for you.

CARLA,
I AM VERY VERY SORRY. AS WE ALL KNOW, THE NEW MODERN TECHNOLOGY SURE HAS TAKEN GREAT LEAPS AND BOUNDS ON TREATING CANCER. GOD BLESS YOU!
MAY I ASK A NOSY QUESTION? HOW DID YOU KNOW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH YOUR THYROID? BEFORE SURGERY, MINE WAS ALWAYS LOW. THE RECENT LAB TEST AFTER SURGERY SHOWS IT VERY HIGH AND THEY HAD TO INCREASE MY MEDS.
