Our Lifestyle change and keeping busy
Work is keeping me crazy busy especially with Joint Commission changes and educating my 250 plus volunteers...I love my volunteers! (I work at a hospital)
Going to destress tonight after work with water aerobics, adding weights and hydrocuffs for a more advanced workout. Going with a co-worker who is going to have her RNY soon, she's approved and walking with me at lunchtime. She has lost 14 pds. since working out with me. She's ready for this life changing surgery. I see success written on her forehead!!!
FIL is doing much better, more focused and they plan on decreasing his meds today. He will probably be discharged next week sometime.
We have 3 new baby barn kittens, their eyes are open and they are soooooo cute. Rozi my 6 yr. granddaughter loves kittens. Now Jake my chihuahua and peekapoo mix was a little put out and his sister Sophie just loves everything and everyone but Jake is my boy. We also have a hounddog Angel and Sheltie named Ellie. Good thing we live on 10 acres, the dogs love to roam our property.
Going up to Mackinac next weekend, step-daughter is getting married at the bridge. Sure hope the weather will be nice for her.
Happy Hump Day People!! And...I'm looking forward to Payday Friday...all though it's all ready spent!!!!
they asked me to go to the funeral home with htem to view the body (he will be cremated) with a memorial service and grave side serive on May 23rd.
Two ladies are coming to inspect the parsonage at 6pm and then I am taking my husband out for supper as it is his birthday.
That's my day.
Of all things to binge on, peanut butter is the least likely to put pounds on you, unless you eat like the entire jar. I don't know much about the bands, but for those of us who have had wls, we can only eat small amounts of anything. I try to keep celery and apples on hand to binge on, when the binge mode hits and then I can munch a little and am full. What triggers your binging? Mine is usally a result of boredom and it hits around six or seven in the evenings, so that is when I try to have a diversion. Lately, I plan my walks at that time and when I get home, jump in the shower and head straight for the water. I cannot drink the protein drinks, have tried them all. The doctors all three of them said that I am lactose intolerant and the shakes, whether made with milk or water, clog my stoma up. Consequently, I never get all my protein in and the doctors know and watch my labs and only once have they had to intevene and then it was through IVs.
HOpe you get the binging under control.

I think I get into an all or nothing mindset, then if I get just a little off my food plan I feel like I have failed big time.
Being too tired is a big thing for me. Why I think eating will make me feel better I don't know. At any rate, I am going to take a nice long NAP this afternoon and that WILL make me feel better.

My BF has the band, we work out together and we are each others biggest cheerleaders.
Find a workout buddy.
Get your protein from food and not shakes, you need to eat dense foods so you feel full longer. How much peanut butter are you eating? Are you staying within your guidelines of a normal serving size? I bet you are not really binging on the peanut butter, you just feel guilty. So don't feel guilty. Learn moderation and no food is off limits. If you feel food is "bad" for you...oops...rethink that thinking.
Chin up my friend, today's another day.
