Father in law moved to hospice care

Hi gang,
Sorry, haven't been on lately, just busy with dad and family stuff. Dad was moved to Rose Arbor (hospice) this morning at 10am. I'm stopping in after work to check on  him. We are all on an emotional roller coaster. We all know he's going to heaven but that man will be missed. Told dad today I would never forget him and would always carry him in my heart. He is in and out of it. The docs think it will be within 2 to 4 weeks...but they really don't know do they? Nope, only God does. I will be at his side as much as I can.

I got up early to do 0545 spin class at the gym. Work out some of this stress. Try to control my emotional eating. Trying to stay away from the crappy stuff. When I emotional eat, I'm always searching for some type of food, only to never find it and noting fills that empty feeling does it?

Okay gang, I'm getting a grip on all this. Tomorrow, I will get up early again and do weight lifting class. I gotta work out in the early AM because after I get out of work, I like to sit with dad for a few hours and then head on home. My body thanks me when I exercise and I do feel better and it lifts my spirits so much. Plus all the wacky people I exercise with just keep ya motivated!
May you all have a blessed day!

Hi Debbie
I'm sorry to hear about your FIL....it's hard to let a parent go, even tho' we know he'll be in a much better place.  My dad died suddenly
in 1990 and I never got to say goodbye......I still think he should come
calling on Sunday afternoons like he used to.

Exercise does make us feel good, even tho' right now with the hip problem all I can do is ride the recumbent bike carefully.   Be glad when the hip is fixed and I can get outside again walking.  Also, our community pool has been closed all summer and I really miss water walking.

I'll keep you in my prayers .....glad to be a friend.

Hugs,
Pat R.

OK, there is a difference between 'has been closed' and 'going to be closed' , thus my confusion.  I'm a good ol' Michigander, parents and grandparents are from the UP.  Yoopers are special people ya know eh?

My cousin Bill Labadie is the Chief of Police in Newberry.  I wonder if she knows him.

My DIL Sherry's dad owns the Newberry Ben Franklin store, Jason
Willis is his name and I'm sure he probably knows the police Chief,
it's a pretty small town......maybe she knows him too.....she hasn't lived
there for 15 or 16 yrs, but they get back up there 2 or 3 times a year.

Small world isn't it Pat?  Bill has been chief for many years.  He has five kids, or maybe 6.  Bill would be around 63 yrs old now so I'm not sure how old his kids would be.  I think he had four boys and a girl.  I'm sure Jason would know Bill.  Like you say, pretty small town, but very nice people.
