Debbie,

It is a nightmarish experience. You are doing well to exercise the stress away. Eventually that empty feeling is replaced by a calm sense of acceptance and loving memories. Hang in there. We will offer support.

Hugs

Thanks gang for all the support.
Dad is doing well at Rose Arbor. No IV's, drains, feeding tubes.
The music therapist came in and dad sang "I love to tell a story" and then went out again.
We sang him his favorite hymns, I know he was listening.
It won't be long til he's in heaven and I'm really at peace with dad passing over to be with his family, friends and army buddies.
You all have a blessed day and take care.

De bbie Jean,
I also had hospice when my dad died. They were wonderful and you dad is in the right place for caring care.
My dad died 12 years ago and I miss him terribly. Hospice was great and they called me long distance to giv e a report everyday. They even told me when to come for the end.
Prayers are with you in everyway. It is so hard to loose a parent. My mom died when I was 10 and it was sudden, Back in 1964 they didnt have hospice.

Thanks Carla,
Dad is very comfortable and he's surrounded by family and the minister stops in often. Great hospice care for sure! The place is beautiful and his room looks like a large living room with great big windows all around, you can open the windows and theres a beautiful garden outside.
The family is at peace and even more important so is dad. Thanks for the prayers. Prayer is always good.
