Father in law went to heaven Saturday

Hi Gang,
Weekend was full of tears and laughter.

I was the lucky one to find dad first at Rose Arbor. I came in about 5 minutes after he passed. The staff didn't see me come in and went I went into his room, I knew he was all ready on his new journey. I waited a few minutes then went to find a nurse. She apologized for not seeing me come in, she was on the phone calling my SIL. I told her I very comfortable with the situation and am glad to be able to have my private time with dad.

So Sat and Sun (after church) the family has been together, picking out photo's and talking, crying and laughing...just as it should be. It was so nice to had a dad again in my life cuz my dad died when I was in my early 20's. Viewing is Wed cuz we have family coming out of State. Celebration of life on Thurs. I'm taking Friday off work to recoup. So this will be a short week for me at work, only will be here today and tomorrow.

So sorry for your loss Debbie!  Isn't Rose Arbor fabulous though?  Such a great place with awesome people.  My grandparents both passed there last year and it couldn't have been any more special.  Thinking of you this week!

My heart goes out to you Debbie.  It's never easy, but we know he's in a better place now.  We've all felt the pain at one time or another in our lives.  I too found my Mom just minutes after she passed.  The nurses didn't even know it yet.  It was a special time to be had with her.  We had told her the night before that it was time Dad had her back and she could go into his arms without worrying about us kids anymore.  I think that's what she needed to hear.
You know we're always here for you.
