Hi George and OFF family,
I'm doing much better today. It's very emotional time going through my FIL visitation and funeral. We still have family here for another week from Iowa.
Family get together again this weekend for an Aunt from Iowa before she leaves back home.

Got a handle on emotional eating last week. I didn't let it beat me down for once. I went to the store and got a lot of fresh fruit and munched on that instead of breads, cookies, cakes and all that other crap.

Catching up on work today. The sun is shining and I have a 10am walk planned with Juli down the hall who will be having WLS as soon as she gets a date. It's so nice to be around newbies and their excitement!

I thought about you when I was up to Borgess last Thursday, but knew you were off for the funeral.

Wow, what a big place -- a little overwhelming in fact.  I was there
for almost 2 hrs doing pre-op testing.  Had a nice visit with the pre-op nurse, I think her name was Joan?

Would you PM me with your last name, please?

Anyway we got to the hospital just fine - it was easy taking Sprinkle Rd to Gull Rd.  My son will be driving me up on the 1st and a couple from my church will be bringing me home, hopefully on the 3rd.

Glad to hear you are getting back into the swing of things -- sometimes that takes a while when you've been off work.

Pat

Protein Chai Tea for me this morning.  I loved the proverb George, thanks.  I wish I could live by that.
Tonight we're showing our house again, so I've got to get it vacuumed, picked up and the kitchen floor washed.  Other than that it's in pretty good shape.  I'm watching my son's dog so I've got a large crate in the family room.  Hopefully it won't hinder the people in deciding to buy...  I'm trying to think positively because I'm usually negative about this since we've had no luck so far.
Hope the sun shines on everyone today.

Hi George and my OFF family:

I'm having problems having a cheerful disposition right now. Sorry. But it is sunny and warm today.

Things are breaking down all around me. First the TV/DVR cable box. Sunday, I went to make a steak on my Foreman grill. The thing is four months old ... it wouldn't heat up. I called QVC and they told me to send it back, they would replace it. Well, at least that was something. But I really wanted that steak last night. So much for that dinner. Tried cooking it in the broiler in the oven ... obviously, that didn't work because after a half hour, it was still gray. Wound up throwing it away.

I have my yearly physical with my PCP. We need to talk about my legs constantly swelling up. I'm sick of this. If he can't do anything, I want him to recommend something. At least now I'm down five pounds from Friday (or I was Saturday).

Someone from freecycle is coming over to get the Total Gym I was given that I've never been able to figure out how to use (I think there's some parts missing. I have to dig out the instructions. It's going to a school for special-ed kids, so it will have a good home.

Well, I should get in something besides my nightshirt in case these folks come early. Have a good day.

Good morning to you, George and my OFF family. Here it is Monday already and I am sitting here wondering where the week end went......

Nothing much going on here today. I am so tired for some reason...it isn't like I didn't get enough of sleep..it seems like that is all I have done since yesterday afternoon. I have slept more than I was up or so it seems to me. More time was spent with my eyes closed than with them open if you get my drift. ha ha

Church went well with Kayden yesterday. There was a couple of small things but we got through them and ended with smiles..so they must have been small. DS packed the diaper bag and he does not do a good job at that! He forgot diaper wipes which we desperately needed...and trust me when I say that this Grandma is going to packing wipes where ever she goes! Then DS tells me that he is taking 6 ounce bottles now and gives me a 4 ounce one...well needless to say he was hungry before we left. Boy of boy....was he a pi$$ed off little guy! One of the ladies of the church broke down and got 2 ounces of water from the kitchen which was tap water...and trust me DIL is never going to know that one!....and we got him a bottle to drink. He took about a half ounce and was out like a light. So those were the things that went a bit bumpy. Needless to say Kayden was the highlight of the whole church service and coffee hour. And without saying he was the highlight of the whole day with Grandpa and Grandma. Even though the yelling was getting to Grandpa. He was just plain mad since there wasn't a tear shed during the whole thing...he has a temper and wants to make sure that everyone gets what he wants!

The sun is shining today and it is hot...it is suppose to be in the 90's all week and a heat index of over 100. When we live here we get humidity of a gazillion percent. And boy is that hot!! When I was in Vegas the temp was 110 but it felt so nice...there isn't the humidity that is everywhere around here. Oh dear!!!!!! I so want to move.....but that isn't in the cards right now. If ever!

The nurse is coming today between 10 and noon. It is my regular nurse and I am glad of that. The doctor and his PA may not have seen an infection but let me tell ya....I smell something coming from there....and it isn't perfume. I am not sure if it infection or just drainage. The bandages were changed at 6:30 yesterday morning so that might be it. I know...TMI!!

I better get going. Nothing is going on today with me but rest, television and reading. I am vegging today. But...I am sending my love and hugs to go with it to everyone with prayers being said for all too. Have a great day and spread your seeds of happiness and joy and imagine how beautiful the world is going to be when all our seeds sprout!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I am happy to say my doctor was in this morning and I will definately  be going home on Wednesday...WOOOHOOOO!!!

I am doing so much better then I thought I would be doing in just two weeks. I get around pretty well. I need to use a walker but I can deal with that. I just want to be HOME!!

My best friend is a Physical Therapist so they know she will be around checking in on me ....that is a good thing!

Nic (grandson) is at St. Judes in Tennessee today. They had a good trip down. They called last night to say they were all settled in and ready for the tests to begin. Please send up a prayer, good thoughts, good vibes or what ever their way. Thanks everyone!!!

Kyleigh (granddaughter) is doing really well at the Academy. She is working hard on her issues and they are pleased with the work she is doing. My daughter saw her Friday and said she looked just wonderful. Kyleigh is  involved in so many activities and seemed very happy. I can't wait to get home so I can talk to her myself.

More PT and OT today....plenty of exercise and rest of course. I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!

Hope you all have a really nice day.

Special prayers to those in need.

I had/have the same problem with posting and replying to posts.  I e-mailed ohsupport and they told me to try firefox instead of internet explorer.  I did and it works so my problem is with internet explorer.  I just had my puter repaired so I'll take it back and make them reload IE.
hope yours gets well.
