17 days out and feeling good
I am feeling so much better, and able to participate in life again. I'm so thankful for that. Still a long way to go on the proteins and fluids, but I'm determined to get there pretty quick at this point.
What does concern me are some of the things here on this board. My heartaches for some of you, and know that even if my posting is not up-to-date, I'm reading and praying. I've self-assigned that job.
May today bring special blessings to each one of you!!

Thanks for your prayers and blessings. I can always use them. I sure hope you are doing good now? Sorry that you had a rocky start, I did also. But, here I am, so very happy that I had the surgery. It's one of the best things that I've ever done and I know it will be just as exciting for you. Just keep drinking, sipping along, you'll make it. The protein is very important, so keep on keeping on, girly.
Big hugs and many blessings to you also......

Thank you sooo much for the encouragement. I can truly say it get better every day. I am more compliant than ever with the protein and fluids, and the numbers are coming up quickly now. I'm at lunch now, and proteins for today are 51 so far. Yipppeeeeeeeeee
Hugs coming at you my dear,

How nice to have you post. I'm getting better at it every day. Surprisingly I find I can do way more than I thought I could each additional day. I put myself on a schedule so that food happens 3 times a day, as per my instructions. I have a least 1 protein shake a day. The rest of the time I drink water. Thanks for the encouragement. I know you've seen so many of us struggle a bit to get our heads in the right place. I do appreciate it.
Hugs coming your way,
Mary

I am looking forward to more posts.

I'm glad you're starting to feel good. One day at a time, but you're on your way to a healthy recovery and, from what I read, the ride of your life. Embrace it and enjoy each new day that you become healthier and are able to move around better and better with each pound dropped.
Blessings to you,
Debbie

Your day will come up quickly, and we'll be here to help you when you need it. Don't get discouraged with the walking, but don't give up either. I've got lots of things that ache and remind me that I'm living on short leash. The leash is definitely getting longer. I can walk a mile easily, and love taking my dogs out on mini walks too. Could not say that before surgery. Have you tried really good shoes to walk in. New Balance custom fit mine with orthotics in them. It made a world of difference in what I'm able to do. Took some of the stress off my lower back as well.
I have a home just outside Puyallup. We're almost neighbors, lol.
Blessings to you,
Mary

Good morning - Indeed - we are neighbors. Just a boat away :)
We had our Strawberry Festival this weekend. I walked for 2 days! I have 2 dogs - one is a Delta Dog my little schwestie. He was great! He walked from 7 am - 2 pm with me and boy was he tied by the end of his day. But not too tired to go home and run around with the older dog and tell him all the stories to be told!
I did not know the Vitalady was so close.
Do you attend a support group? I am looking for one that meets on weekends. When we factor in a boat ride home it's difficult to stay after work - that makes getting home that much later. I get up at 4 am - so in bed by 8 (if I'm good).
Shoes - I wear eathshoes. I have both sandles and walking shoes. Yes - it helps but the feet and knees still scream. I push thruogh.
Have a good Monday
Mary
