Thank Goddess for challenges for it means we are still alive.  It's good to hear from all of you and get the update on life.
I've been slathering on the moisturizer but the wrinkles don't go away.  Then I got poison oak on my face and my skin wrinkled up even further.  I'm hoping that will fade a bit over time.  In fact it's already looking better.
Today hasn't started out well.  I was late for work and didn't eat breakfast so secumbed to coffee cake with my coffee at work.  Dumb because I have protein bars, yogurt and Kashi here but I did it anyway.  Note to self:  Give willpower pep talk.
Have chili and carrots for lunch.  Going to the movies at dinnertime to see Ice Age III in 3D.  I'll have some more chili before I leave and some popcorn at the movies.
Smelling the roses, CV Linda

My weakness is SUGAR - while I wait for all my ducks to line up I am TRYING to cut out that sugar bug.

Today - well - I figured that when I drive into work - I smell the Hostess Cupcake factory a block from my office window.  In the morning - it's an awful smell - old oil burning but in the afternoon - it's the baking smell.  I was never one to rush to a hoho or such - my addiction has better taste - thank you but today..... today I would have gladly accepted the heartburn associated with that stuff.

So - instead - I had a diet tea and sugar free applesauce.  The next problem - it was late in the afternoon and my bladder almost did not make it to the ferry boat!!!

Looking for sugar free icecream.

Updates:
Sleep Study came back = Moderate sleep apnea
Weight = lost 3 pounds
Exercise - not so good.  Get up at 4 am and home by 5 pm.  I am so tired at night - in bed by 8 pm last night.  I need to focus on this issue more.  Maybe when I get my CPAP I will start to feel like working out when I get home.

Yes - looking at others in a different light already.  I am still feeling like I am unworthy or too small to have the surgery - then I get on the scale and pow - 220 or 218 slams me in the face.  That can't be me!!!  Then my feet say - yes it is and my knees chime in and then the bladder......and so on and so on.

I feel blessed to have the opportunity to not have to wait until I can't walk at all to be considered for WLS.

This site keeps me focused and on track.  I think twice about my sugar addiction and am trying to make better selections.

Good Day! Started with a protein shake and supplements. Went to the gym and did 5 miles on three pieces of equipment. Weighed in at TOPS -.2 lb! At least it's down. I think that is 3 weeks in a row.

Hotter than hell here. 102 today and the rest of the week more of the same. Came home:

Lunch: small green salad, thin pork chop left from dinner (for some reason left over meat tastes better to me than fresh)

Snack: sliced cucumber in ranch dressing

Dinner: fresh green beans, swiss steak, cottage cheese and tomatoes (from the garden!)

Snack:????

Went to podiatrist. Two broken toes (just confirmed what I knew; banged them barefoot into the corner of the molding!) and the makings of a neuroma. Got a shot today, will have another in 2 weeks if not better. Hoping that takes care of it! Do not want to have to have surgery. Suggestion was to make sure I don't lace up my tennies too tight. I find that I have this problem towards the end of the summer when I have been shoeless too long!

What else? Trying to get my ducks lined up so that I can head to Chehalis early on Saturday. I'll drop Maggie off at Erin's and then head to Westport/Grayland, WA for the day and night. Checking out beach rentals for the family for mid August. May stay at the Tokeland Hotel Saturday night. It's a historic hotel, not pricey but if they're having a wedding no stay. Also plan to visit a Native American cemetery in the area. It is such a serene place. I just love cemeteries. Such a sense of history for me. This one has personal tokens left at the graves. No one disturbs them. I visited a cemetery on Maui that had many of the early immigrants who came from China, Japan, the Phillipines, to work in the sugar and pineapple fields. Many of their descendents still live there. I digress!

Geeze, sorry. Where did all that come from???
