Thursday - what's happening with you?

Good morning to you, Margaret and everyone....today is Thursday and even for me working at the office it is hard to realize that the week end is soon here. This week has seemed to fly by for me...I think it is because I am up, out and among people.

I go into the office this morning and Pastor and I will be working on the Sunday bulletin. They have changed the format and this is the first one of these that I will be doing. I hope that it comes easy and I do it right. I so hate change...and I guess it is of any type now. ha ha

I went to the pcp yesterday and she is sending me to a Infectious Disease doctor so things should start to happen for the better now. She did tell me that it will probably be a long haul for me but heck...what else is new? I am use to long hauls now. ha ha  I wouldn't know what to do if something was a slow or normal one. I have to call and make an appointment with the I.D. doctor. I am glad that she is a woman....I feel so much more comfortable with a woman doctor. More than likely because we can relate to each other. She comes highly recommended by my visiting nurse. That is all I need to know....I trust my nurse.

I go see Dr. Stanish this afternoon. I hope that the visit goes well. So please say some prayers, good thougths, toss some chickens in the air and what ever....I need some good vibes right about now. ha ha  I will even try to catch the chickens flying through the air if that is what it takes. I will go buy a catchers mitt if that will help. ha ha

It is suppose to be a high of 79 today. It is foggy and we are suppose to get some sun this afternoon along with some possible storms. I just hope that if we get the storms I am safe at home. I hate driving in the rain. Well....not rain but storms. I had an accident in the rain and since then I have a worry about that. I guess some memories never leave. Especially bad ones.

Bill is doing well with the not smoking. He is on day 12 and the craving seems to be leaving. He is chewing on a lot of plastic coffee stirrers that is for sure. ha ha  He said the smell of the smoke from the others at work get him sick and I hope that continues. He stopped for 3 months before and so I know he can do it. Please have some chickens flying for him too if you would. I am so proud of him...it is hard to stop that and he has been smoking for 42 years with the exception of the 3 months. Heck...maybe I should get 2 catchers mitts while I am getting the one for my flying chickens! It is worth it if I have to that is for sure.

I guess I should get moving. I have a couple of things to do before getting ready for work. Jeez I like that sentence....before getting ready for work. It has a good and strong ring to it. I know that when I get through this part of my life with this belly thing I am going to get a job...I don't care what it is...well...I might stop at some things!

Have a great day and spread the joy and happiness that is a part of you with others. I am sending love and big old hugs to go with it to everyone. Prayers are being said for everyone too. Have a great one....

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi everyone,

For you scrapebookers, my daughter scrape books and does a really wonderful job making all kinds of things.  When we go to the craft store, I have to pull her away from the things.  And, when I need craft things for the kids to do, she always has great ideas.  I suspect my daughter in law will be good at it too and I may buy her a starter kit for Christmas.

Okay, I am being whiney again.  I like the new dietician but I don't like the new diet and the drink she gave me, Boost Enrich, makes me dump and I don't want to tell her because I don't want her to think I am trying to get out of drinking it.  And, my fingers are really doing that splitting thing at the tips and around my nails.  I know it's a vitamin thing but my doctor says all is well.  And, I need to make him give me the results, but when I'm there, and he is talking, well, I just don't want to say, give me the results so I can let my peeps on the board see.  I need to be more assertive, I know, but I just cannot do it with my pcp or my surgeon.

Today, my new kitty is four weeks old and I am calling the vet to see when I can bring her to my house.  And, in a couple of weeks, my Ginger will be one year old.  Yeah.  Actually she is a year old because when I got her she was about three months old, but her being with me birthday is in August.

I'm teaching and walking and doing my same ole same ole but tonight, I am riding my bike.  I like the gym's bike, but I don't like not going places.  My goal was to ride it at least every other night and prove to my DH that I am a real biker so that I can get a real bike with brakes on the handles and gears and really cool stuff.  In order to do that, I need to put more miles in on Old Nelly.

Well, aside from my needing to find a nutritional drink that works for me, my life is as usual as it is every July.

Oh, there is something new.  Yesterday, I was walking around the campus, doing some speed walking, and I ran into one of my old students and she said she would walk with me and spot me, which is what the track people do to each other to make the walk faster, so I said okay, and off we went and let me tell you, the Razorback women's track team has some fast assed girls.  I'm just saying, she didn't even get out of neutral and I was running. LOL.  Oh to be young and athletic.

Hope you guys have a great day.

Jeannie, since I have to get my labs drawn outside the doctor's office (at the hospital lab), I just asked them for a copy of my labs (this year at least). I had to sign paperwork for it, but that's because of privacy laws. I always forgot to do it every other year, but decided I wanted to know what they were this year, and I'm glad I did. Knowledge is power!

Good morning, Margaret and my OFF friends,

Sounds like you're almost there on your journey, Margaret. How much longer do you think you will have to wait to get your date? The hoops and hassles will all be worth it in the long run.

I have about 40 minutes before we leave for the surgery center. Linens are changed, so all I have to do is fall into bed when I get home. I'll give a call to Annette to let her know how it went and I'm sure she will post.  So, everyone, please say good bye and good riddance to Henrietta, she's on her way OUT!

Hope everyone has a great day. Brenda, I sure hope you get to see some specialists soon. I worry about you.

Susan

I'm at work, all ready did a 5:45am Pilate's class. Wow!! I was sweating...what a workout.

Busy day planned here at work. But I like it that way.
Getting my nails done after work for a reward...keeping on track always with my exercise.

Looking forward to Friday, nothing planned for the weekend except cleaning the house and doing laundry. Maybe I'll take a trip to Lake Michigan with the hubby.

Good Morning Margaret and all,

I am sitting here waiting to go have my ultra sound, trying to drink all the water they said  I had to and praying it will stay in ...
I had to skip my treadmill cuz I wasn't getting up any earlier than I already get up...
Not much new, had a resident throw a dish of pudding at me yesterday. It was butterscotch. Missed me. So that was my excitement yesterday.
Still working on the scrapbook and hope to get done soon.
Well, guess that's it for now...
Take Care all,
Cheryl

Good Morning off'rs:
Not much to report here.....same ole, same ole!

My work supervisor and a co-worker are bringing me lunch today and coming for a short visit.  That will be nice.

We got a nice soaking rain last nite -- the yard looks better already.
More showers forecasted for today, tomorrow and Saturday.

Nothing on the agenda today.....going to start a new book, and maybe go pick one of the zucchinis from my garden and make one of Eileen's recipes

I do my exercises before getting fully dressed and I am just not seeing much of any improvement in my toes.   It was 3 wks yesterday since my surgery, so I am thinking it will probably take the two months the surgeon said to have this stupid nerve get well.   I did get into the van yesterday and backed it out to the street and then drove it back into the garage -- just because I am a stubborn German, and had to prove that I could do it!  Used the left foot on the brake and it worked just fine.

Good thoughts for those having problems right now, and hoping that answers are found and solutions made.
