Darlene I need help

I know you guys are so freaking sick of my problems.  But I was given a calorie enrich drink to help me bump up my calories and to give me some of that good stuff in my diet that I am not really getting; however, I dump on it.  I don't just feel faint and throwup and feel my heart beating out of my chest; I do faint.  The drink that she gave me is Boost Plus and it does have a lot of sugar in it and I hate to go back to her and say that it makes me sick because I don't want her to think that I am being difficult and I really want this to suceed.  So, what can I drink that has no sugar nor milk that is high in calories?  I tried the ensure one too and their is another one that I tried.  Is there a high calorie carnation instant breakfast?

I am not tired of your problems,I am so sorry this is happening to you. Atkins is high fat,I do not know about the milk part.

Please be OK...don't drink anymore of that crap.

How about Muscle Milk, I think it's soy based, not sure. The gal across the hall drinks it. I'll check with her when she comes in today.

Do you dump on fat?
I can handle fat but not sugar, or just a little sugar.

Small amounts of fat don't bother me and I don't think I really dump on fat, I think they just make me a little nauseous.  I love the fat of a good pork chop. LOL.  But, I don't dare eat much of it.  I thought that would be a really good source for bumping up my calories but I do feel bad afterwards.  I've been eating a lot of fruit and trying to get calories that way because fruits, usually, don't really make me dump.  So fructose doesn't seem to bother me in its natural state.  I can even eat a lot of watermelon and it's all good. 

I'll look for the Muscle Milk.

Try also eating a piece of cheese when you eat fruit.
Not a lot of calories in watermelon.

Since you don't think you dump on fat, eat nuts. Lots of calories in nuts and you can have the protein added in too!

I would rather eat my calories than drink them. How much can you eat at a sitting?

Jeannie, I know you posted this to Darlene, but I have some experience here that might be helpful.  When I lost a lot of weight last year due to surgery I drank Muscle Milk Lite. It still has lots of calories, but it's low on sugar. Can you tolerate whole milk? Maybe you could use sugar free carnation instant bkfst and mix it with whole milk?

I had asked my Nut about Ensure and Boost and she said NO to both. Too much sugar and fat. She wanted me to go with slices of avocado on my salads and sandwiches, almonds, peanut butter (this would make you happy), whole milk, cheese and crackers, full fat salad dressings and mayo, etc. It was hard for me to accept after a year of being so diligent about doing the opposite, but it worked.
