Before and after surgery I use a protein product called ProCare. It tastes rather nasty if you use it straight from the can (most people call it ProCrap!). I add some flavorings to make it taste like a pina colda.......it's not bad (I add no sugar).......not sure if it is something you can use but you might want to ask your Nutritionist.
I know what you mean about never thinking you'd be one to have trouble eating. I'm shocked some times at how little I eat now. I must have been eating about 3,500 calories daily (if not more) when I was maintaining my 280 - 300 lbs. Now when I fix my plate of food I kind of visualize how big my stomach is..... I used to eat till I felt full....now As soon as I feel satisfied I stop; I don't like the full feeling anymore. I remember reading that an adult stomach is about the size of a fist....that of course is before I stretched it out with overeating all these years But now I eat lots (and I mean lots) of small meals throughout the day.
LOL with the stairs.........we were there again today and I did think to myself that if we move to that house I'd have to walk up the stairs after my LBL.......I counted them,.....it's 5 to the entry level and then 10 to the top level....not too bad....but I know......no stairs is better.
Hope things improve so you don't feel "icky" anymore.
Have a good night

Barbara Delinsky is also a good author....we also read recently a book that is not fiction called "Tales of a Female Nomad" The author is
Kay ? can't remember her last name, but it's about her and I think you would really like it.
Enjoy,

Not sure how today is going to play out.....started late and slow...changed the sheets, have the 2nd load of laundry going but looks like it will be a busy afternoon. Have to run to the pharmacy for antiseptic/antibacterial soap and then want to buy those size 8 jeans I tried on the other day. I've decided I'm worth a $20.00 splurge on a pair of jeans that will make me feel good.........so what they might be too big after my LBL, I'll just enjoy giving them away to someone else and buy a smaller pair.

I think we are going to the furniture store today to catch the last day of the "summer sale". We saw a dinning room set and a family room set we both liked and there was a bedroom I liked so we might just get all three. The catch of course is which house will they all go into ....LOL....still no decision on that.

Hoping to just do a little relaxing tonight and get to sleep early (if I can sleep) cuz I have to wake up at 4am. yikes, that's early! I think I can convince Matthew to take me out for an ealry dinner/late lunch....it will be a nice treat and a break from cooking.
Hope all are healing who need to heal and that everyone is feeling and doing well.
TTFN

Hi George and my OFF family:
Where is everybody? Sleeping?
Edit: Funny, when I first wrote this there were only three posts; when it posted, there were a whole bunch. They magically appeared. What happened?
Gee, usually at 1:30 this thread is jumpin' and I'm the last to post. Oh well.
Work was a ***** last night. I had three pages to do on the new system, which wouldn't usually be too much, but the new system is a bit more labor intensive. I did the first one just fine, went to start on the second one, finished that and headed to No. 3. It was supposed to have already been started with our Name Dropping (people) column on the bottom. Nope, no page started. Our night editor looked to see who was supposed to be in the column, and those people were used in Saturday's paper. Seems the copy editor who did the column left it for Saturday's paper, not Sunday, and it was already used. He didn't put it on the page or anything. So I was scrambling to find something to put on the page, with photos. Plus, I had to read the weather map and put together a half page of photos, all in a half hour. It didn't get done on time, obviously. Plus, I was supposed to be proofing pages. A little too stressful. I was cooler than I would have been usually ... I didn't blow up, only a few cuss words. I had to eat on the run (we ordered out Chinese last night ... I have a lot of food left). And ... I had to listen to all the Tigers fans scream as the Tigers came from behind to beat the White Sox. So, not a good night at all.
Plus, I had my legs down for eight hours. Lately, I'm not getting time to ice my leg at night at work. It really hurts by the time I get home. Not as bad as before the revision, so that's good. But it is swollen.
Today, however, I'm in a world of pain ... knee, back, neck, shoulders, big toe on my left foot. Fortunately, I'm due for a back injection tomorrow. I really need it. It's going to rain today. There are big dark clouds with some sun trying to shine through, and it's kinda windy. I've already taken a pain pill today and iced my knee. I'm having a major fibro flare-up (Connie will understand!). I only have today off before another week of work. I'm so tired.
Not much going on today. Just laundry, dishes, baseball, etc. If I get ambitious, I may make blueberry muffins, turkey rollups (I have to use the blueberries and I'm out of turkey rollups ... really need to have nutritious snacks).
Well, have a good day. I got up at 10:30 and already feel like a nap.
evening george and OFF...better late than never i guess....sighs...

see you all here tomorrow i guess... ;-)
The day was hot here (I know it's hotter elsewhere). Today was 90 and the rest of the week will be in the 90s as well. We Seattle are whimps when the heat goes above 80.
Today we had our parish Salmon bake - that was fun - in the shade.
The kids had their Relay for LIfe meeting - they are well above their goal and are ready for the rally on Friday night.
As I type I am watching the humming bird getting their evening ****tail.
I registered for the local OH event for Seattle in August.
Oh yes, the boys start their drivers ed tomorrow. I drove with one to church today - I was a nervous but got there just fine - had coffee when I arrived. Hope I survive.
58 more day until my surgery.
Waiting for the final approval letter to arrive in the mail.
Have a good week all.
